I’m Brit- the artist behind Brit XO. I’ve loved art forever, and painting is where I get to play, experiment, and occasionally question all my life choices before the piece finally behaves. I don’t always have a plan, and when I do, it usually changes at least twelve times. Some pieces look finished long before they feel finished… and some feel done even while the paint is still arguing with me. That’s part of the fun.

I paint because it makes me happy. I paint because it makes other people pause, smile, think, or feel something unexpected. And honestly, I paint because color makes everything better- louder, lighter, brighter, whatever the moment needs.
My work isn’t meant to sit politely on a wall. It’s meant to grab your attention, start a conversation, or make you stop mid-scroll and go, “Wait… I love that.”
